EMF Systems was founded in 1968 to design, develop and manufacture Solid State Oscillators for both the military and commercial markets. The company has acquired expertise over the years which has been applied in some of the most advanced electronic systems in present use. Production quantities have been delivered for some of these systems. EMF Systems Oscillators have also been operating for years in military communication satellites, aircraft, and missiles. Designing microwave oscillators and making them work is as much an art as a science. At these frequencies, capacitors become inductors, inductors act like capacitors, even connections with excessive solder can significantly change the frequency of operation. In the past, when the designer had solved these problems he had only to see that the oscillator operated over the proper frequency range with the required power and stability. In today's sophisticated world he must be concerned with additional parameters which are difficult to describe and measure: phase noise, AM noise, post-tuning drift, residual FM, tuning speed and repeatability are just a few of these. Providing customers with "State of the Art" oscillators takes a manufacturer with dedicated people and an awareness of our rapidly changing technology. EMF Systems Inc. is this kind of company.

This catalog is just a starting point, containing oscillators of interest to be a broad spectrum of customers; it is impossible to include the many specific models designed over the years to meet diversified needs. We encourage you to call and explore our capabilities. Discuss your requirements directly with our engineers; there is no better way to save time and money.

The company maintains a Quality Assurance Program meeting the requirements of MIL-I-45208, MIL-C-45662 and MIL-Q-9858. Government source inspection is available and a company clearance is maintained for classified projects. EMF Systems guarantees all the standard oscillators against defective workmanship, and operation is guaranteed within specification for a one year period after shipment.
